Name: Kristen Anne Bell
DOB: July 18, 1980
Fun Fact: Her first credited role was in the cinematic masterpiece Pootie Tang, but the scene was cut.
At the risk of sounding like an obsessed pile of crazy with dirty glasses and hair that is coasting into “nope” territory with two days of dry shampoo build-up, I think in a different lifetime or alternate universe, Kristen Bell and I could be friends. Or at least I would consider her a friend and she could fondly refer to me as “Why the Hell Is She Here, Who Invited Her?” I mean, look at her. She makes the same face I do when confronted with a loaded dessert tray an. Granted, she’s probably trying to narrow it down to one while I’d be trying to figure out how to convince a waiter every person at the table coincidently has a birthday that day to score all of them for free, but at least she eats dessert. I don’t think I could creepily align myself with a celebrity who would try to convince me kale chips sweetened with a touch of raw honey is a legit way to end a meal. Plus, it’s hard to not love the person who gave us this versatile reaction gif:
Kristen has been in the news recently for opening up about her struggles with depression and anxiety on Off Camera with Sam Jones via PEOPLE.
“I’m extremely co-dependent. I shatter a little bit when I think people don’t like me. That’s part of why I lead with kindness and I compensate by being very bubbly all the time because it really hurts my feelings when I know I’m not liked. And I know that’s not very healthy and I fight it all the time.”
“[My mom’s] a nurse and she had the wherewithal to recognize that in herself when she was feeling it and when I was 18 said, ‘If you start to feel like you are twisting things around you, and you feel like there is no sunlight around you, and you are paralyzed with fear, this is what it is and here’s how you can help yourself.'”
“If you do decide to go on a prescription to help yourself, understand that the world wants to shame you for that, but in the medical community, you would never deny a diabetic his insulin. Ever. But for some reason, when someone needs a serotonin inhibitor, they’re immediately crazy or something.”
Kristen is married to Dax Shepard; they have two daughters. Gallery below. One image is NSFW-ish.
